Nitrogen Injection into an ISOTank Container
Known as nitrogen purging, is a process where nitrogen gas is introduced into the tank to displace oxygen and other vapors, creating an inert atmosphere. This is done to prevent contamination and ensure safety when transporting or storing chemicals, especially those that are reactive or hazardous.
Why nitrogen purging is important?

How it works?
1. Initial Assessment:
The ISO tank is checked to ensure it’s structurally sound and free of any contaminants.
2. Nitrogen Injection:
Nitrogen gas is introduced into the tank, usually through a dedicated connection, displacing the existing atmosphere.
3. Purging Process:
The nitrogen flow is maintained until the oxygen content within the tank reaches a safe level, typically below 1%.
4. Monitoring:
The pressure and oxygen levels are continuously monitored to ensure the purging process is effective.
5. Final Check:
Once the desired inert atmosphere is achieved, the tank is sealed and ready for its next use.
